Under his leadership, the County Executive has steered Wayne County through tough economic times. Our economy has continued to grow and make our county a livable, workable, place for individuals and families. County Executive Evans will continue to focus on keep our county moving forward with new jobs and opportunities for individuals and families. Infrastructure
County Executive Evans has focused on investing in infrastructure projects fixing long ignored issues that were endangering our residents. This includes fixing our roads and bridges, and improving our parks. These projects are important to the future of Wayne County, as we begin to receive federal funding for infrastructure projects, the County Executive will invest in infrastructure projects that will benefit all residents.
- $90 million toward road and bridge construction projects
- Upgrades to Hines Park, Nankin Mills, and Elizabeth Park
- $2.4 million grant from the Ralph C. Wilson Foundation and Michigan Department of Natural Resources to complete the Iron Belle Trail connections in Downriver communities.
- Restored and Reopened the Rouge River Oxbow in Dearborn
