Wayne County Executive Warren C. Evans brought financial stability back to Wayne County. Now - he’s focused on helping Wayne County’s families and businesses bounce back stronger than ever.
Led Wayne County through the COVID-19 pandemic:
- Provided 77,000 free COVID-19 tests by partnering with community organizations and opening pop-up sites throughout Wayne County.
- Distributed $70 million in grants to help nearly 5,000 small, minority and women-owned Wayne County businesses.
- Distributed fresh food to at-risk and food insecure Wayne County residents.
Investing millions in Wayne County’s Parks, Roads and Infrastructure:
- $90 million to repair more than 30 Wayne County road and bridge projects before the end of 2022.
- Continued upgrades to Hines Park, Nankin Mills, and Elizabeth Park.
- Restored and Reopened the Rouge River Oxbow in Dearborn.
Bringing thousands of Jobs and Opportunities to Wayne County:
- Investing $50 million in workforce development to ensure Wayne County’s workers are prepared for the jobs of tomorrow.
- Creating $50 million Wayne County Small Business Hub to connect small businesses to opportunities and support
